RC Consulting is the independent practice of Raghuram Chityala, a project management consultant for gas turbine, HRSG, steam turbine and brownfield power projects — engaged from feasibility through commissioning, for owners, EPC contractors and OEMs anywhere in the world.
Raghuram Chityala is a mechanical engineering graduate who has spent 35+ years inside the power and energy sector — most of it in senior project leadership roles, rising to Senior Vice President and Complex Project Manager. His work spans the full life cycle of captive cogeneration and combined-cycle power plants: configuration studies, feasibility, detail engineering coordination, procurement and bid evaluation, site and construction management, HSE and quality oversight, and commissioning through to steady-state handover.
Career highlights include the flawless delivery and commissioning of a 720 MW captive cogeneration plant, later recognised internally as the best-performing facility of its kind; leading site operations for a 1,200 MW combined-cycle extension in the Gulf, completed on time and on quality; and pioneering one of India's earliest utility-scale solar PV projects in 2010.
He has also led a series of brownfield initiatives: converting gas turbines to fire low calorific value syngas, and engineering the relocation and re-commissioning of gas turbines and HRSGs over 20 years old between manufacturing sites — brownfield work that unlocked significant capital savings and is documented in a published technical article (see Insights below).
Along the way he has led on-site teams as large as 50, reported directly to Project Directors and Presidents, and built a career-long record of zero reportable fatalities alongside consistent on-time, on-budget delivery — including in technically demanding and logistically complex environments.
